Everything you need — portal link, step-by-step process, required information, and answers to the most common questions.
📖 What's In This Guide
India's First Digital Census — And You're Part of It
The Government of India is conducting the 16th National Census in 2026–27 — the first to go fully digital. In Odisha, this digital census is called Janagana (ଜନଗଣ), and it introduces a brand-new feature: Self-Enumeration.
Self-Enumeration means you can now register your household data yourself, online, from your mobile or computer — instead of waiting for a government official to visit your home. It's faster, more accurate, and entirely free.
Official Self-Enumeration Portal
All Odisha residents can register online at India's official SE portal. Open April 1–15, 2026.

Enter details for every person living in your home: name, gender, date of birth, relationship, education, occupation, caste, religion, and marital status. Aadhaar is optional but helpful.

Before clicking Submit, double-check all names, dates, and details. Errors are correctable but it's better to get it right the first time.
